Shanel Tage, MPH is the program analyst for children and youth with special health care needs. Ms. Tage provides support and quality improvement expertise on key projects, including the Maternal & Child Environmental Health CoIIN, Leadership Institute for State Title V CYSHCN Directors, Standards of Care for CYSHCN, and the implementation of the State Public Health Autism Resource Center. She previously served as a planning and special populations analyst at BlueCross BlueShield Shared Health where she led quality improvement projects related to data collection. She also has experience in evaluation from her past work as a research assistant with the Maternal Infant Health Outreach Worker (MIHOW) Program at Vanderbilt University. At her internship at the Tennessee Department of Health, she gained experience collaborating and coordinating various community-based stakeholders in their minority health programs. Shanel received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., followed by her MPH with a Global Health concentration from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
