Ms. Johnson is the Title V CYSHCN Section Chief at the Tennessee Department of Health, Division of Family Health and Wellness. With over 13 years of service in the public health field, she has a variety of experiences that include planning, implementation and evaluation of CYSHCN programs. In her current role, Ms. Johnson is responsible for state policy development, quality management and monitoring activities for adherence to federal and state regulations for the CYSHCN section which includes Children Special Services, Birth Defects, and System Integration/Family and Youth Engagement and Involvement. Ms. Johnson has served as the principle investigator for the MCH Block Grant, the D70 Integrated System of Services Grant and the Microcephaly and Other Central Nervous System, Surveillance, Intervention and Referral Grant and has worked to ensure comprehensive, quality systems of care exist for all children and families. Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Masters of Public Administration with certification in Health Planning and Administration.
