David Cabrera began working for PPRI in June 2014. He graduated with a Master’s in Public Administration from the Bush School at Texas A&M University in 2013, with a focus on state and local policy. He previously worked as Transportation Mobility Coordinator at the Brazos Valley Council of Governments where he helped administer senior mobility services in six counties in the Brazos Valley. He also helped coordinate the Regional Planning Organization and served on transportation committees focusing on highway development and bicycle/pedestrian project planning. Since joining PPRI, he has worked on numerous projects covering adolescent health, criminal justice and higher education. David has been an important asset in PPRI’s work on various Title V Maternal and Child Health Services grants, with a primary focus on positive youth development programs. Higher education projects have focused on evaluations of state adult-education programs such as Accelerate TEXAS as well as a feasibility study of the state work-study program. He also possesses extensive knowledge of survey programming (across a variety of platforms including Qualtrics and LimeSurvey), statistical methods, and program evaluation.
