Oregon Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Needs
I am a mother of four children and wife who works full time. One of my children is a young adult who experiences medical complexity. OCCYSHN recruited me to serve on the Advisory Team for Oregon's Children with Medical Complexity (CMC) CoIIN Advisory Team to provide parent perspective. I have served in this role during grant years 1 and 2. I am a member of the Oregon CoIIN Family Involvement Workgroup, a subcommittee of the Advisory Team, and helped to develop the research design, collect, analyze, and summarize interview data from other Oregon parents of young adults (18-22 years) who are medically complex. I am passionate about improving care systems to better serve children and youth with special health care needs and their families.
