Janice Fries is the Epidemiologist for Healthy Montana Families, the Montana’s Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program, where she has had the privilege to play a role in supporting families for over 3 years.
After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry, Janice worked as a microbiologist, then later a NEPA specialist, evaluating impacts to water and biological resources in environmental assessments and impact statements. She went on to earn an MPH with a specialty in epidemiology at the University of Oklahoma. She worked for Oklahoma’s University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, and later managed Oklahoma’s Oral Health Needs Assessment for the state’s Title V Block Grant.
Janice currently lives in Helena, Montana, with her husband, eight-year-old daughter, and defiant, but loveable pug.
