CYSHCN State Program Manager
Washington State Department of Health
I have spent most of my career serving and advocating for people with disabilities across the life course, including families with CYSHCN and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex and chronic medical needs accessing health care and community based services. I received my Master's Degree in Long Term Care Program Administration from University of Southern California. I have lived experience navigating complex systems of a variety of systems of care, including mental health, and chronic medical care systems, disability systems of care, and special education on behalf of mine and others' children with special health care needs. In my position as Family Engagement Coordinator at the WA State Department of Health in our CYSHCN program, and Washington State's Family Delegate, I have worked with both internal and external stakeholders to increase meaningful family and community partnerships and family centered care in systems of care that serve CYSHCN, as well as promoting the expansion of meaningful family and community partnerships across MCH domains. As of February 1st, I have accepted a position as the State Title V CYSHCN Director for Washington State. I look forward to many more years of serving CYSHCN and their families in our state.
