This premier event provides you with an exclusive opportunity to reach more than 10,000 consumers from across the nation. These decision makers attend ALC annually to collectively address their interests and policy perspectives first hand in addition to learning about products, services and opportunities that cater to African-Americans.
ALC is one of the largest gatherings of African-American professionals offering on-site sales as well as long-range business contacts and opportunities for you. ALC is highly recognized as a premier event in the African-American community.
Creating brand awareness and enhancing visibility is easy and effective. The showcase will give you the opportunity to further acquaint business professionals, civic leaders, and minority-focused organizations with your company through highly visible marketing opportunities created to help you promote your product and services to a diverse group of decision makers.
The Exhibit Showcase features opportunities intended to increase hall traffic and encourage easy communication with your customers. The Hall includes networking opportunities, a job fair with on-site interviews, book signings by prominent authors and free health screenings.

To maximize exposure to our attendees, contributors are invited to participate as conference registrants in educational and social activities and to provide additional support to enrich the conference experience for attendees and your organization.
The prospectus will help you as you plan for the meeting includes complete information on opportunities available at the Annual Legislative Conference, offering a number of valuable participation levels and a variety of new ways to increase your visibility. We encourage you to reserve your space early due to the fact that we limit the number of booths in order to increase your contact with attendees.

The Teen Empowerment Zone is geared towards giving youth a platform to hear and learn from professionals regarding decision making and advocacy. ALC is a conference where youth are engaged with plenary sessions and interactive workshops with knowledge that is transferable across home, school, and community. In addition to networking with congressional leaders, businesses, organizations and peers from the DMV area, youth also will explore colleges/universities, seek employment opportunities, and participate in live empowerment panel discussions.
The fair is designed to expose students to the Annual Legislative Conference (ALC) and meet with HBCUs and other colleges/universities to generate interest where they want to further their studies and gain the knowledge to select a major, gather information on financial aid.
The job fair is an excellent opportunity for both employers and high school students to meet and discuss job openings. This fair is open to students who are 15 years of age and older. Representatives from local area businesses will be available to discuss paid employment and volunteer opportunities. Students are asked to dress professionally to make a great first impression! Students should bring copies of their resume to submit to prospective employers.
Embody the “values of empowerment” to excel in college, maximize their impact in the world, and fulfill the purpose for which they were created. Comprehensive college advising & mentoring session for high school juniors & seniors in the areas of: College Prep, Scholarship Opportunities, Paid Internships and build readiness skills such as how to write a resume, Dress for Success, Life Skills, and Social Media (Pros and Cons).
The ALC Exhibit Showcase offers you the opportunity to explore and discuss with expert vendors the breadth and depth of new products, services and business opportunities. With more than 200 exhibiting organizations, multiple pavilions and stages, the exhibit floor is an integral part of your learning, professional development, shopping and networking experience during the conference.
CBCF is excited to line up a weekend full of activities taking place in our exhibit hall over the 3-day period in the exhibit hall, so we recommend coming with your walking shoes on. Highlights include: Panel sessions, live entertainment on the Spotlight Showcase Stage, celebrity chef’s cooking demonstrations, book signings by prominent authors, free health screenings, competitions, numerous related fun events, raffles and deals on thousands of items in our live and silent auctions and raffles going on constantly during the day.
