I am the Business Librarian at American University in Washington, DC, supporting the research needs of the faculty and staff in the Kogod School of Business. I earned my MLIS at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and my BS at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In 2016, I finished a PhD in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I studied the cultural adaptation of international students to higher education in the United States. Prior to that I was the Coordinator of Instruction at the American University in Cairo.
My research interests include the globalization of higher education, academic integrity, business information literacy, and library services for diverse populations. I have published in College & Research Libraries, Library and Information Science Research, Reference Services Review, and Libri. I also co-edited Library and Information Science in the Middle East and North Africa, a volume in IFLA’s “Global Studies in Libraries and Information” series.
