Monica's current research agenda focuses on information literacy-related topics, with an emphasis on utilizing online training modules to increase students' information literacy skills. She believes in leveraging accessible technology to design effective employee onboarding programs, advocates for streamlining assessment and evaluation of institutional programs and services, and supports designing experiences that deliver high quality information literacy instruction. Monica frequently presents at conferences, most recently at Electronic Resources & Libraries (ER&L), the Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education Conference (AAHLE), The Charleston Library Conference, and the ALA Conferences (Mid-Winter and Annual).
Prior to joining Goldey-Beacom College, Monica worked with The Pennsylvania State University's ITS HR team in State College on a variety of instructional design and training projects while completing her Ph.D. in Learning, Design, and Technology. A former high school Business and Web Design instructor, Monica earned her first doctorate degree, an Ed.D. in Education Leadership, while leading professional development workshops, providing educational technology building-level support, and serving as the IT Academy Department's Chairperson.
