An increasing number of librarians are taking on project management responsibilities in their organizations. This session, led by two certified Project Management Professionals, will describe approaches, tools, and best practices for technology project management in academic libraries.
The session will include:
-Quick overview of formal project management: Triple constraint, process groups, knowledge areas, etc., and comparison of traditional waterfall and agile methodologies
-Communication management approaches
-Risk management approaches
-An introduction to resources and learning opportunities available through the Project Management Institute (PMI)
