70th AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo
This presentation details a proven, systematic process for maximizing the value of a feedback report. This method has been used with dozens of past applicant organizations, ranging from top-tier state award winners to less mature organizations scoring 200 points. In all cases, the participating organizations found the method effective in helping them understand and use their feedback reports.
The process that will be presented has four steps. First, the group must be grounded in what Performance Excellence looks like using a unique description based on the Baldrige scoring guidelines. Next, the group must develop a clear understanding of what the feedback comments are telling them, within the next of the criteria requirements. Once the content of the comments is understood, it is necessary to determine why the examiners believed each comment was important. Finally, this understanding is used to prioritize the opportunities for improvement using a quantifiable method that addresses customer, workforce and business needs.
