Know your audience. This is a guiding principle when giving a presentation, developing a marketing campaign or reaching out to potential dental school applicants. The ability to know who is applying to dental school, the motivation for choosing a career in dentistry and/or the activities that will resonate with different audiences is key to developing recruitment outreach. Personas can provide this information as they tend to go beyond demographic descriptions to a deeper understanding around the what and why of applicant behavior. This session will share ADEA's work around developing applicant personas and how this will inform ADEA's recruitment strategy.
