The need for faculty development is multifaceted, as improvement in faculty leads to better student teaching and learning and impacts the basis for patient care. Shortage of faculty is one of the biggest challenges that dental education is currently facing. In particular, the transition from recent graduate to new educators can be overwhelming, given the increasing complexity and pressures of health care delivery. During this session, a selective panel will share strategies that new educators may use in diverse settings. The audience will have time to ask questions as well.
