Inter and Intraprofessional initiatives require teams to collaborate and build working relationships. Strong teams improve teaching and learning, achieve desired student outcomes, create innovative ideas, support members with career goals and increase job satisfaction. However, conflict is inevitable, causing teams to struggle. Whether it is a small group sharing office space or a large department mixed with faculty and staff, it takes combined efforts to establish commitments to achieve common goals. This session discusses how dysfunction, and the consequences that follow, affect the team. Through engaging activities, participants will practice team building skills that can create a positive work environment.
