The biomedical sciences constitute foundational knowledge within dental education. Student mastery of this material is essential for passing board examinations and for progression to clinical training. As more institutions move towards integrated curricula, initiatives to integrate this knowledge with clinical training have become increasingly important. There has been a corresponding push to incorporate new technologies into the classroom. This seminar, consisting of a series of five-minute short talks, will highlight teaching innovations in the biomedical sciences. These presentations and the subsequent discussions will provide a valuable source of support, mentorship and creative inspiration to colleagues at institutions undergoing similar changes.
