Do you ever find yourself wondering what is wrong with students nowadays? You have given them all the materials to thrive, but they are not performing to your standards. At times, there can be a disconnect between what we want our students to learn and what they actually learn. In this professional development workshop, we will explore the "Big 3" learning theories: behaviorism, cognitive constructivism and social constructivism and how they can enhance or cripple collaboration. We will discuss how theories inform and affect teaching practices and team up to brainstorm ways of improvement for both micro and macro curriculum.
