Interprofessional education (IPE) is considered of paramount importance by every health professional organization, and is an important education model to train students to provide appropriate patient-centered care. Geriatric dentistry is one of the best suited disciplines for IPE to occur, as the majority of older adult patients are receiving care from multiple providers. During this program you will learn about new European and American led initiatives to incorporate geriatric principles into dental education and how to integrate dentistry into the geriatric health care team.
