Despite the national investment in oral health, there is little understanding of the return in terms of quality. The increasing adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) gives us the tools to efficiently collect quality measures over time, compare performance and pool data across sites with the goal of developing a dental learning health system capable of continuous self-study and improvement. This seminar will showcase how academic dental institutions and large group practices use EHR data and the BigMouth Quality Repository to measure dental quality in their clinics and participate in a learning consortium to develop strategies for improvement.
