The proposed collaborative session will present and reinforce attendees understanding of salivary biomarkers and proteomics as a tool to aid in detecting oral and systemic diseases, as well as curricular integration. Two researchers, funded by the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research and the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, will provide attendees with a better understanding of the use of salivary biomarkers and proteomics, emerging salivary diagnostic tools for specific oral and systemic diseases and neonatal neurological development, collaborative interactions with the entire health care team and a toolbox of thoughts for potential curricular integration.
Funding Approved (ADEA COS Program Fund) - $3,000.00
