Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs) have been established to support health care providers and their patients in the safe and effective use of prescription drugs, helping reduce prescription drug abuse and diversion. This presentation focuses on the integration of an innovative software technology for mobile devices designed to seamlessly incorporate the Maryland PDMP into the practice workflow at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. The software has broad applicability in other states.
