Introduction of the Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE) is just around the corner. Transition to this new exam format has been a concern for students, faculty and administrators alike. Concerns range from fear of the unknown to practicality of implementation of changes in curriculum. Questions swirl around: How do we ensure that the students retain their foundational knowledge? Will basic sciences be diluted? How do we integrate the sciences throughout the dental curriculum? How are the schools preparing for this? A panel of experts are here to say "not to worry, it will all be alright!"

Reflect on the concept and purpose of INBDE.
Explain how to build an integrated curriculum to ensure preparedness of students for INBDE.
Identify methods of integration to maximize knowledge retention.
