Older adults aged 85+ are the fastest growing age group in the United States, and the majority are aging with some or all of their natural dentition. This Short Talks session will highlight the incorporation of the "Five Ms of Geriatrics" framework (2017) to enrich dental training and prepare our students to collaborate with colleagues across a broad spectrum of health-related specialties and prepare students to provide optimal care for our aging patients, parents, family and friends. The "Five Ms of Geriatrics" model includes collaboration highlighting the following topics: medications, mobility, mentation, multi-complexity and matters most to me.
