This session focuses on best practices for recruiting and retaining underrepresented and marginalized faculty in dental education. The new ADEA Faculty Diversity Toolkit will be shared. The Toolkit is the culmination of work by the ADEA Faculty Diversity Toolkit Development Workgroup, composed of the ADEA Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, institutional diversity officers and representatives from ADEA Councils, Sections and Special Interest Groups. Barriers to the recruitment/retention of underreprsented and margalized faculty at U.S. and Canadian dental schools and programs will be discussed. This session will highlight best practices, strategies and recommendations for improving faculty diversity in dental education.
