The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and Medicaid were designed to deliver health care coverage to low-income families, primarily children. States run these programs within guidelines set by the federal government but may expand coverage. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) helped expand health care primarily through expanding Medicaid, but the ACA has faced several repeal attempts, and many believe the program has been weakened. With so many changes it can be difficult to keep track of them all and understand the impact they may have on health care broadly and dental education specifically. To help stay current on recent changes and new initiatives, we invite you to join us for a discussion featuring expert insight on policies that have the greatest impact on dental education.
