How did Captain Sully know how to land on the Hudson? Virtual simulators are just one example of technology that has made reality based experiences possible. Similarly, a combination of virtual simulators and digital technology in dentistry allows faculty to give students simulated patient experiences that weren’t possible in years past. Two schools will present a prescribed path of digital designs for restorations and implant planning. Both schools share the challenges of integrating technology and how they overcome it. They will illustrate how use of technology reinforces for the student the lessons learned from every dental discipline!
