FDI Committees, Programmatic and Associates Courses
Antibiotic resistance is of great concern for dentists who prescribe a large part of overall prescribed AB for humans. This session will provide dentists, their team and also decisions makers, with lectures from WHO, France, Turkey and United Kingdom experts, involved at various levels in the implementation of Antibiotic Stewardship Programs. From a global point of view to the implementation at the dental chair, this session will show how antibiotic stewardship is a matter of behavior for everyone, with a strong responsibility for health professionals in their relation with patients and public health policy makers. Rationalization in prescribing antibiotics based on evidence is an obvious commitment for dentists, yet their responsibility goes far beyond to fight a global threat at the front.
