Marie-Pauline Maurin, DVM, graduated with honors from the University of Liege, Belgium in 2009 with an degree in Veterinary Medicine. She subsequently completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in a private referral hospital, followed by an internship in small animal surgery for two years in another private referral hospital in France. After a short period in general practice in France, she undertook a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery in University College Dublin (UCD). In January 2019, she completed a four-year combined ECVS residency in small animal surgery with a professional doctorate program at UCD and was subsequently employed as a clinician and lecturer in UCD. Whilst Marie-Pauline enjoys all aspects of small animal surgery, her particular areas of clinical interest include minimally-invasive surgery, joint biomechanics, traumatology and neurosurgery.
