Dr. Marcos Perez graduated in veterinary medicine in 2010 from the Complutense University’s School of Veterinary Medicine in Madrid, Spain. After graduation, he completed three internships: Milton Equine Hospital in Ontario Canada, Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington Kentucky, and two years at Complutense University in Madrid. During this period prior to the residency, he also pursued a Master in Veterinary Research Science by the Complutense University.
He finished the equine surgery residency in UC Davis and achieved the diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2019. Currently Dr. Perez is working as a surgeon staff veterinarian at UC Davis VMTH and his area of research is focused in equine orthopedics and minimal invasive surgery.
