Dr. Rhodes Bell is originally from Lexington, Kentucky. His undergraduate education was completed at Vanderbilt University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish. He then attended Auburn University for his DVM. Specialty training in Equine Surgery and Lameness was completed at the University of Missouri where he also received a master’s degree in Veterinary Science. In addition, he successfully completed the certification examination to earn the title Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons – Large Animal. Before coming to Park Equine Hospital, Dr. Bell had an internship after graduation at Peterson & Smith Equine Hospital in Ocala, Florida; following residency at the University of Missouri he briefly worked in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Dr. Bell's interests are in surgery and lameness.
