Jennifer Schleining is a board certified large animal surgeon and clinical educator at Texas A&M University. She received a Bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University and her DVM from Iowa State University in 2001. She completed internships at Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre in Gilbert, AZ and Southwest Equine Medical and Surgical Center in Scottsdale, AZ, practiced as a mixed animal associate in Fort Pierre, South Dakota, and completed a Large Animal Clinical Fellowship at Oregon State University prior to completing a large animal surgery residency and Master's degree at Iowa State University. She spent 14 years on the faculty at Iowa State University prior to joinging the faculty at Texas A&M in the fall of 2018. Her professional interests include veterinary education, advancing surgical procedures and knowledge in large animals, and orthopedic diseases.
