David Holt is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and Professor of Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. He is part of a team that have been using near-infrared (NIR) fluorophores and imaging systems to identify cancer, cancer margins, and metastatic lymph nodes intraoperatively for over six years. The work performed in clinical canine and feline cancer patients has led to five clinical trials in human cancer patients.
