Clinical Associate Professor, Equine Surgery
I received my veterinary degree from Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, Germany in 2002 and started working as an associate veterinarian in a private equine referral clinic in North-Rhine Westphalia. During this time, I completed my thesis and after 4 years in private practice, I succesfully applied for an internship at the Marion duPont Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, VA. From 2007 to 2010, I was a equine surgery resident at Michigan State, where I also completed my Masters in Large Animal Clinical Sciences. Since 2010, I have been a member of the equine group at NCSU, first as an emergency clinician and since 2012 as a soft tissue surgeon.
