This group was founded in 2012 and incorporated in 2015. Our facebook group has over 8000 members from around the world. Members assemble here for helpful suggestions on how to manage megaesophagus, peruse through over 300 plus files of frequently asked questions and links to pertinent information concerning the disease and network with pet parents in their area of the world. Members come here for a shoulder to cry on when things are sad. It is also a place to share birthdays and milestones! It is frequently updated, listings for recommended vets and specialist, special headings for myasthenia gravis, PRAA, Recipes, even a free UCB Cookbook! The UCB exhibits at pet events and vet conferences annually. We are home of the "Barket List" because every dog needs a good bucket list. We hold an annual Calendar Contest in the month of June in honor of Canine Megaesophagus Awareness Month. Proceeds from the calendar sales go towards Megaesophagus Research. In just four years of sales we have given $11,500 towards research projects. We distribute client brochures for ME and MG. We also have a great poster available, all free of charge. We have an outreach program for shelters and rescues with MegaE animals called the UCB Buffy Project. We can provide feeding chairs, neckhugs, prescription food, pay for medical bills, adoption and transportation fees. Currently we have worked with over 30 different rescues and shelters to help them with expenses and find homes in just 2 short years!
