The Distinguished Lectureship in Cancer Rehabilitation is an annual event to recognize an outstanding contributer to the field of cancer rehabilitation. We are excited to have Lee Jones, Ph.D., of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center as our award recipient. Dr. Jones is an expert in the area of oncology exercise and performs clinical trials in several areas of cancer care, including structured exercise training interventions on cardiovascular outcomes in cancer survivors and traditional laboratory approaches to elucidate the effects of exercise training on cancer progression. Dr. Jones is world renowned and has numerous publications in the area of exercise oncology.

1. review the historical role of exercise for the cancer survivor
2. describe the current evidence supporting the benefits of exercise for cancer and its treatment
3. explain the future opportunities for integration of exercise in cancer care both for clinical science and research
