Douglas C. Wolf, MD, is ACG Governor for Georgia and an ACG Councillor. He is a partner of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates where he serves as Director of the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease. He has served on the full-time faculty and clinical faculty of Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Wolf's undergraduate education was at Duke University, Medical School and Residency at West Virginia University, and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Wolf's GI practice is focused on Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. He provides outpatient consultations and longitudinal care for a large number of IBD patients in Georgia and the region. He is involved in IBD clinical research. Dr. Wolf is currently Co-Chair of the Membership Committee for the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation (National) and has also served as Co-Chair of Government and Industry relations (in area of Patient Advocacy), and has served as Chair and Co-Chair of Professional Education. Dr. Wolf has served as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committe for CCFA-Georgia and Chairman of the Education Committee. He is the gastroenterology representative to the Medicare Carrier Advisory Committee of Georgia-Alabama. He is a Reviewer and Section Editor for "Inflammatory Bowel Disease." He is the author or co-author of over 50 publications related to inflammatory bowel disease, and been a presenter or co-presenter of over 100 abstracts, posters, and presentations.
