Dr. Jill Gaidos completed medical school and Internal Medicine residency at Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia followed by gastroenterology fellowship training at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Her interests during fellowship were focused on inflammatory bowel disease and small bowel endoscopy. After fellowship, Dr. Gaidos joined the Gastroenterology faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University where she provided patient care in the VCU Center for Digestive Health, focusing on the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease. In July 2014, Dr. Gaidos transferred her clinical practice to the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA where she is now the Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and the Deputy Chief of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Section. She continues to focus her practice on preventative care in inflammatory bowel disease as well as participating in clinical trials and other IBD-related research. She is the Associate Program Director and VA Site Director for the VCU GI Fellowship Program. She is the former Chair for the ACG Women in GI committee, current member of the ACG Training Committee and member of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation Professional Education Committee.
