Patient Care & Best Practices
We will highlight our experience in developing and implementing the largest survey of OAT patients in Canada, including lessons learned and areas for improvement. Results will demonstrate a contrast in some patient cohorts, such as gender, urban and rural, methadone and buprenorphine. The presentation will also attempt to dispel common myths regarding OAT patients, including first use, relapse, cultural differences, and motivations. Our goal is to inspire other care organizations to bring the patient voice into their day-to-day decision making and management of their clinics.
