Roundtable Session
This roundtable discussion, split into two sections, will focus on the topic of publishing in scholarly journals focused on Japan. The panellists will include the editors of several of the leading journals in this field. The first section shall provide a forum for editors to reflect on the development and contemporary role of Japanese Studies journals in relation to other forms of scholarly communication, to discuss issues which are of common concern to them, and to consider solutions to the challenges that their journal’s stakeholders (editors, authors, reviewers and readers) are facing. The second section shall proceed in a question and answer format with a focus on providing practical advice to authors seeking publication. The session will proceed in an interactive manner and interaction from the audience will be encouraged throughout.
