Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine Physiatrists are often presented with upper extremity conditions, which can be attributed to a variety of pain generators from musculoskeletal or neurovascular structures. Clinical evaluation is the basis for establishing an accurate diagnosis and this may include efficient bedside sonographic evaluation, allowing for a treatment algorithm, which often includes ultrasound guided injections. Having these necessary skills and being able to carry them out in an effective manner in the outpatient setting is quickly becoming an invaluable asset of a Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine Physiatrist. High yield, evaluation of most encountered pathology of the upper extremity encountered in ambulatory clinic will be identified and discussed in this hands-on workshop.
