Brian is a PGY-3 resident in PM&R at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He attended Indiana University Medical School and worked as a mechanical engineer designing aircraft engines before this. His initial interest in PM&R stemmed from a background education in biomedical engineering and an interest in biomechanics. He is planning to pursue a sports medicine fellowship and ultimately hopes to work on improving injury prevention programs and athlete performance through data analytics and improved technology. Brian is married and is a proud cat dad of two little fur balls that run the house. He enjoys following multiple sports but is particularly loyal to the St. Louis Cardinals and Kentucky basketball. Since moving for residency the cold winters of Minnesota have also turned this basketball loving former hoosier into a hockey fan. In his free time he is also an active YouTuber with over 8 million video views providing easy to understand education on various sports medicine topics for the casual sports fan. This is his first time at the annual AAPMR conference and he is very excited to connect with other colleagues and learn more about the future of our field!
