American Society of Anesthesiologists
Dr. Michael Champeau is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at the University of California at Los Angeles, and, subsequently, a residency in Anesthesiology at Stanford University. Board certified in both Pediatrics and Anesthesiology, Dr. Champeau is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
Dr. Champeau is a Past President of the California Society of Anesthesiologists, and currently serves as the Treasurer of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. He is also a recipient of the California Society of Anesthesiologist’s Distinguished Service Award.
Having practiced in both the academic and community environments, Dr. Champeau is a past President of the Medical Staff at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford. He has also served as President of the Associated Anesthesiologists Medical Group in Palo Alto, California for the past 15 years. He was among the first physician anesthesiologists in California to be granted a General Anesthesia Permit by the Dental Board of California.
Dr. Champeau is an Adjunct Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Stanford University.
