Carole Charavet graduated with a DDS degree in Dentistry from the University of Liège with the highest award. After finishing her degree, she started a postgraduate program in Orthodontics and DentoFacial Orthopedics at the University of Liège. She went on to defend a master thesis which was published in the Journal of Dental Research entitled « Efficiency of piezocision-assisted orthodontic treatment in adult patients » and received the highest award.
Furthermore, she completed a PhD in the field of innovative techniques combining piezocision and regenerative procedures in collaboration with Boston University, United States and with Marseille University, France.
Currently, she is adjunct Head of Clinic at the University Hospital of Liège, Belgium with a clinical practice but she also has research activities in addition to teaching in the postgraduate program in orthodontics.
She acts as a reviewer for international journals and she has received some research awards.
