Dr. Sook-Bin Woo is Associate Professor at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, consultant oral and maxillofacial pathologist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital, and attending oral medicine specialist at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She is co-director of the Center for Oral Pathology at StrataDx Inc. in Lexington, Massachusetts. She is the program director for the graduate oral and maxillofacial pathology program at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She received her oral pathology training in Indiana University and Harvard University, her head and neck pathology training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York, and her oral medicine training at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She is board-certified in both oral and maxillofacial pathology and oral medicine and is active in training residents and graduate students in both specialties. Dr. Woo’s interests and focus of her research are precancerous conditions especially in relationship to HPV, oral mucosal disease, and oral toxicities of biologic agents and targeted therapies. She has published many articles and the second edition of Atlas in Oral Pathology was released in fall 2016. She is a sought-after speaker locally, nationally and internationally. She received the Distinguished Senior Faculty Award from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2012 and the Samuel Charles Miller Award from the American Academy of Oral Medicine in 2017.
