Daniel L. Orr II, BS, DDS, MS (anesthesiology), PhD, JD, MD

Dr. Orr is the father of 9 children.
He was named 1968 Eagle Scout of the Year by the Los Angeles Area Council and in 1993 was awarded the Silver Beaver by the Boulder Dam Area Council.
Dr. Orr is an OMS/DA practicing in Las Vegas, NV and has treated over 2,000 facial fractures and administered over 50,000 anesthetics.
He is also admitted to the California Bar, a member of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and a Past President of the American College of Legal Medicine.
After graduating cum laude from Brigham Young University and with honors from USC School of Dentistry, he completed residencies in Anesthesiology at the University of Utah Medical Center, where he also earned an MS in Anesthesiology, and in OMS at LA County/USC/MC. Dr. Orr then obtained a PhD in Biophysics from Columbia Pacific University, a JD from William Howard Taft University School of Law, and an MD from the University of Health Sciences Antigua School of Medicine.
He was the 1998 Honored Alumnus of William Howard Taft University School of law and the 2016 Alumni Achievement Award recipient for the BYU College of Life Sciences.
Dr. Orr is a Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, the American Board of OMS, and the American Board of Legal Medicine.
Dr. Orr has been on the founding boards of an off-shore professional liability insurance company, a 501(c)(3) public charity, and an FDIC certified bank.
He was selected the AAOMS National Outstanding Undergraduate OMS Educator (Laskin Award) of the Year for 2011-2012 and teaches high school and college level religious courses for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
He is the Editor of the NV Dental Association Journal, a Past President of the American Association of Dental Editors and Journalists, is a member of several editorial boards and regularly peer reviews articles for JOMS, JADA, OOOOE, JACD, and others.
Dr. Orr is the Post-Mortem Coordinator for Nevada’s USPHS National Disaster Medical System, Chairman of the NSSOMS Anesthesia Committee, Past President of the NSSOMS, and is an accreditation Visitor for CODA.
Dr. Orr is a member of the Sports Medicine Teams for UNLV Athletics, the AAA Pacific Coast League Las Vegas Aviators (Oakland A's affiliate), the PRCA National Finals Rodeo, and the NBA Summer League. He is Past President of the D.A.R.E. Community Board, the Medical Advisor and a Senior Ski Patroller for the Las Vegas Area National Ski Patrol, and has been the OMS Sub-Section Chief at the University Medical Center Leval I Trauma Center since 1984.
