Dr. Lucy Chen is an Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and an attending physician at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She has had experience in managing chronic, acute and pediatric pain for almost 20 years. She is a research investigator at the MGH Center for Translational Pain Research and a PI or co-investigator of several NIH R01 grants. Dr. Chen has served as a member of NIH study sections, a committee member of American Society of Anesthesiologist, a Co-Chair of a Special Interest Group of American Pain Society, and a Scientific Advisory Board member of Association of University Anesthesiologists. She is an associate section editor for Anesthesia and Analgesia, an editorial board member for several journals, and a reviewer for 40 journals in the field of pain management, opioid-related disorders, neuroscience, integrative medicine, and anesthesia. Dr. Chen has published over 80 papers, book chapters, and is the chief editor of two books. Dr. Chen has lectured extensively at national and international meetings including ASA, APS, ASRA, AAPM, ICIMH, AUA, and IARS, and has been invited to many academic institutions as Visiting Professor or Visiting Scholar.
