Dr. Henry Fung DDS, FACS is the Former, Chair of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Associate Program Director at Cook County Hospital.
He completed his dental training at Indiana University with Honors in 1983. He did his Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery internship at Indiana University School of Dentistry. He then continued and completed his Oral & Maxillfacial Residency training at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Illinois in 1987. Dr. Fung is board certified and a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS) in 1989. He is also a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). He served as Deputy Chairman at Cook County Hospital in 1988 and in 2012 appointed as the Division Chief, Chairman of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Cook County Hospital.
He is interest in Anesthesia, Reconstructive surgery, Trauma, orthognathic Surgery. Dr. Fung served as the Chair of the CIG in Anesthesia. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty of Midwestern University, College of Dentistry. He is an councilman for Illinois society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
