Fleurette (Flo) Kiokemeister is the Clinical Excellence RN, Project Manager for the Perioperative Surgical Home and Enhanced Recovery After Surgery Projects at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital.
Prior to coming to Advocate Lutheran General, Flo worked at the Anne and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital (formerly Children’s Memorial Hospital). There she was the Nursing Director of Surgical Services, Nursing Director of the Ambulatory Patient Care Services and then transitioned into a project manager role which she worked mainly on Patient Access and LEAN initiatives in the pediatric and surgical subspecialties. Flo has a BSN and a MS in Nursing Administration.
She is interested in patient safety, quality, and education, and perioperative patient optimization and standardization to improve surgical outcomes and patient outcomes
Flo was hired by Lutheran General Hospital in July of 2014 as the Perioperative Surgical Home Project Manager and implemented the PSH in colorectal surgery in 2015.
She is also a part time yoga sculpt instructor at Core Power Yoga in Chicago, Il.
