Amy Selmer, BSN, RN, SRNA is currently a student in the Duke University Nurse Anesthesia Program. Amy grew up in New Hampshire and attended the University of New Hampshire (UNH) for her bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She worked as a critical care registered nurse at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center, for 3.5 years before entering graduate school. Amy is currently finishing her doctoral project focusing on optimizing intraoperative fluid management for neurosurgical patients. In addition, Amy has extensively researched viscoelastic tests and has spoken about them at several conferences in North Carolina.
