Cricothyrotomy is a procedure used to provide ventilation in “cannot intubate, cannot ventilate” (CICV) events. Due to the rarity of CICV events, anesthesia providers have limited experience performing cricothyrotomy. Simulation is an effective tool for learning this life-saving skill. This quality improvement project implemented a mobile cricothyrotomy simulation using a pretest-posttest design.
