Come visit AAM French Quarter Hospitality Zone at the French Quarter Museum Association (FQMA) Visitor Center at 533 Royal Street. Take a break, charge your phone, grab a snack, and learn about French Quarter Museums.
The FQMA makes museum-going an integral part of the French Quarter experience. By working together to develop shared programing and coordinated marketing, the non-profit museums of the French Quarter engage a larger percentage of the people who are already in the French Quarter - residents and visitors alike - and thereby grow their audience and increase their visitor-ship. This, in turn, has a positive impact on the French Quarter environment, improving its sustainability as a historic resource. The visitor center was created in 2018 to give the FQMA a physical presence in a high-traffic area during the 300th anniversary of the founding of the city of New Orleans. It will close in June 2019, but the FQMA will continue to exist through its website (www.frenchquartermuseums.com), social media presence, and the outreach efforts of the participating museums. At the visitor center, you can learn about each of the participating museums and get tips about how to get the most out of your visit to the French Quarter.
